Stars of Lionsgate television's 'Nashville' open 2017 international tour at Barclaycard Arena

Stars of the Lionsgate produced and distributed, hit series, “Nashville” took to the stage at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham, UK on Friday (9 June), for the opening night of their international tour.

The Midland’s tour date featured Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio, who performed songs from the series as well as their original material to a 10,000 strong audience.

Ian Congdon, Head of Arena Sales at the Arena said:

The TV show has an extensive international fan base, so it has been great to not only be the first venue, but the first country to host the 2017 tour. It has been a pleasure working with the artists and tour production, and we hope to welcome them back in the future.

“Nashville” airs on six continents and in more than 100 territories, including the UK. In its fifth season in the U.S., the series has been a record-breaker for CMT, where episodes have become the network’s most-watched original series telecasts ever. Since its debut, the show has inspired multiple “Music of Nashville” soundtracks as well as a Christmas album, collectively selling more than a million soundtracks and millions more single tracks to date.
